For larger teams, Kiln offers a Studio Membership. This includes private offices and meeting spaces for teams of 15 to 50. Studios are customizable and branded to create an ideal HQ.

What types of businesses does Kiln support?

At Kiln, we’ve created a space that’s catered towards the needs of entrepreneurs, startups, and early-stage tech ventures, and remote employees and creatives. Most of our networking and programming events relate directly to the interests and needs of this demographic. Nonetheless, Kiln is home to a much wider range of companies from clothing retailers to freelance graphic designers to law agencies. We support all kinds of businesses, big and small!

Does Kiln host events for its members? What about non-members?

We host regular community events that are only open to Kiln members! Some of our favorites include Waffles Wednesdays in each location, an Apres-Work charcuterie and wine hour, Bring your Friend to Work Day, and Fun Movie Fridays. The Kiln Cart is also known to circulate around the shared workspace for a pick-me-up treat! We want our Kiln members to be friends and to share in the community.

Kiln also hosts programming events that are catered towards Kiln members, but also open to the public. These include lecture series, “Lunch and Learns,” “Startup Stories”, and partnerships with local nonprofits and agencies. During the Covid-19 pandemic, many of these events have gone virtual.

Our mission is to provide a space where we facilitate relationship-building opportunities. Whether you’re a part of a Kiln community or your city’s community, we’d love to see you at our upcoming events.

How does billing work for a Kiln membership?

Every Kiln membership is month-to-month with a 60-day notice for cancellation. Kiln bills on the first of each month. When you sign up for the first time, you’ll pay your first month and one additional month as a deposit. If you cancel with a 60-day notice, your deposit will cover you for the last 30 days.

Kiln also works with larger companies looking for private offices and offers longer-term leases.

Are there additional charges for using Kiln facilities?

We do our best to keep additional costs transparent and clear. Kiln memberships are all-inclusive — snacks, rooms, spaces, etc.

There are a few scenarios where Kiln members might encounter additional charges.

At some Kiln locations, we have an in-house cafe where you pay á la carte for menu items. Kiln members use the Kiln app to book meeting rooms. If you run out of monthly meeting room credits, you can always purchase more. For Kiln members hosting events in the space, most events will be complimentary. However, if you are hosting an event in the evening or after-hours, there may be a small staffing and cleaning fee associated.
