Summary: A coworking tour is a short, no-obligation walkthrough of the space with someone from the community team. You see the work areas, offices and meeting rooms, talk through how you work and what you need, and leave with membership and office options to compare. Bring your headcount, timing and must-haves, and visit at the time of day you would normally work.

Before you go

Book a time online and note what you want to see: open desks, a private office for your team size, conference rooms, or event space. If several people will use the space, bring one of them along. Kiln tours can be booked on the tour page for any Kiln community.

What happens on the tour

Expect to be greeted at the front desk and walked through the main areas: coworking spaces, private offices and team studios, meeting rooms, phone booths, kitchens and lounges, and amenities such as fitness, wellness or recording rooms where the location has them. Along the way, the team will ask how you work so they can suggest the right fit.

Questions worth asking

Terms: How long is the commitment, and how much notice do I give to change or cancel? (Kiln memberships are month to month.)

What is included: Are Wi-Fi, printing, coffee, meeting rooms, mail and parking included or extra?

Meeting rooms: How are rooms booked, and can I bring clients or guests?

Access: What are the staffed hours, and can members get in outside them?

Growth: If my team grows, can I move into a larger office or studio here, and can I work from other locations when I travel?

Community: Who are the members, and what events happen each month?

Test it like you will use it

Sit at a desk for a few minutes, check the noise level and the light, try the Wi-Fi, and look at the rooms you would actually book. If you are unsure, a day pass lets you work a full day before deciding.

After the tour

You will typically receive options and pricing for the memberships or offices you discussed. Compare them against your budget and headcount, and read our guides on choosing a coworking space and private offices versus coworking memberships.
