Portland, OR (July 3, 2023) – Kiln, a coworking and flex office space provider based in Lehi, Utah, is preparing to launch a new location on August 1st in the Southeast Portland area.
Covering 36,000 square feet, the facility at 1120 S.E. Madison St. aims to attract a diverse range of professionals, including entrepreneurs, executives, tech workers, nonprofits, and creatives. The space has the capacity to accommodate teams of up to 100 individuals.
Kiln’s CEO and co-founder, Arian Lewis, expressed his excitement about expanding their presence in the Rose City. “Portland is a place that has always honored its roots, specifically a commitment to community, individual expression, creativity and entrepreneurship,” he said in a news release.
The development of this location was a collaboration with Cobalt, a local development group, and Kiln has assembled a local team to manage the operations.

Previously, the site housed a bakery and candy-making facility, followed by an appliance parts warehouse situated between the popular food cart pods, Cartopia and Hawthorne Asylum.
Operating on a membership basis, Kiln’s spaces offer a variety of amenities to its members, including private offices, team studios, meeting and event spaces, a podcast and video recording studio, a theater space, and a wellness studio. One of the current tenants in Kiln Portland is Hydrolix, a company that recently secured $20 million in funding.
This new location in Portland marks one of the ten sites Kiln has opened across the country. Alongside Cobalt, Kiln collaborated with broker Macadam Forbes to bring this project to fruition.
